As humans, we thrive when we have a purpose and a strong sense of community.
Never has there been a greater need for positive connection, understanding, and kindness than now.
That's why we're creating a new kind way of living. One for people who value community over status, who see success as a shared idea. We are for these people, and have designed a new kind home for shared living.
How it Works
To learn more about how Treehouse works, click through the items below.
Everyone at Treehouse gets their own private bedroom and bathroom.
CHOICE OF PRIVATE OR SHARED
Residents in studio units have private kitchens, while residents who choose suites share a kitchen with two to four suitemates.
The community spaces at Treehouse belong to all of our residents. All of our buildings have spaces to eat together, to have friends over or throw an event, and spaces to get things done.
WE TAKE CARE OF THE SHARED
We take care of the shared spaces, including kitchens. In suites with shared kitchens we stock the supplies (e.g., paper towels, soap, trash bags, etc.) and do the periodic deep cleaning
COOKWARE AND KITCHENWARE PROVIDED
All the kitchens at Treehouse are fully stocked with pots & pans, plates & dinnerware, food storage, glassware, flatware, and small appliances.
All the spaces are Treehouse are furnished and designed to be light, warm, simple, and green.
UTILITIES & WIFI INCLUDED
Utilities and WiFi are included. Free laundry too.
EVENTS & SUNDAY DINNERS
Community dinners every Sunday are on us. Events are included too, like rooftop yoga, speaker series, and live music.
Treehouse is run by and for its community.
Community isn't something you can buy. It's something that we create, together.
The Treehouse community belongs to its residents. Residents review and select applicants to move in, and residents pick their suitemates to ensure that everyone is in a place that feels right. Once we're together, leases at Treehouse are at least a year long so there is time to build meaningful relationships.
Programming and events are run by and for the community. WeeklySunday dinners are planned and executed by teams of five who decide whether they want to cook or order in, and we provide support and the budget. Our event schedule is similarly supported and curated by the community manager but driven by the residents.
The community spaces at Treehouse belong to the residents. Just like any other home residents can use their space to relax, have friends over, or host an event. Some spaces can be reserved in advance, while others are always open.
Treehouse is creating a sustainable way of living that is responsible to both the planet and the people that live on it. Living with a balance of community and private space means:
We use less per person on heat, cooling, and lighting
MORE FORESTS, LESS MINING
We use less construction material per person
PRESERVING WILD PLACES
We live together instead of sprawling apart and use less land per person
LESS GLOBAL WARMING
Every Treehouse is built near jobs, transit, and entertainment so it's easier to drive less
Treehouse is more affordable than a nearby studio
Living at Treehouse is more affordable than the average modern studio apartment in the same neighborhood. We provide a lot of things that a traditional apartment doesn't. In order to compare the two, we split our monthly price into a base rent and a community fee.
The community fee is set to match what most people spend on utilities, WiFi, and furniture in a traditional apartment each month, but offers residents much more. For $210 the community fee also covers dinner every Sunday, coffee, free yoga, and other events to bring the community together.
